Nationwide Building Society is the largest building society in the world. It has its headquarters in Swindon, England, and maintains a significant administration centre in Northampton. Since the merger with the Portman it has gained an additional 1.8 million members and now has 15 million customers, 20 million accounts and employs 19,000 people across the UK.
